Toros Agri R&D Center Participates in the Congress on Biotech Solutions for Sustainability

The 1st International Congress on Biotech Solutions for Sustainability was hosted by Gebze Technical University from May 7-10, 2024. Representatives from Toros Agri R&D Center, Ali Yetgin and Şeyma Akbay, participated with a poster presentation.

This inaugural congress, organized in collaboration with Gebze Technical University and Pakistan’s Muhammad Nawaz Shareef (MNS) University of Agriculture, attracted 300 academicians, researchers, NGO representatives, industry leaders, and sector representatives from nine countries. The event focused on the impact of biotechnology on sustainability, exploring solutions to issues in health, industrial and agricultural biotechnology and biomaterials, climate change, eco-friendly agricultural practices, innovative agricultural technologies, and artificial intelligence and digitalization in biotechnology.

R&D Specialists Ali Yetgin and Şeyma Akbay from Toros Agri R&D Center presented their research with a poster titled “Understanding the Microbial Degradation Pathways of Urea Aldehyde Fertilizers”. During the congress, which proved highly productive for sharing experiences, exchanging information, and keeping abreast of sector innovations, Yetgin and Akbay presented their research on microbial degradation pathways of urea aldehyde fertilizers and their application in sustainable agricultural practices.
