Toros Agri, Turkey’s largest enterprise in the field of agricultural inputs, has opened its R&D Center established within Mersin Production Facility. Scientific studies will be carried out to meet the demands and needs of the sector at the facility, which is Turkey’s first R&D Center in the field of plant nutrition.
Toros Agri has established an R&D Center at its Mersin Production Facility in order to diversify its product portfolio with new products in the field of plant nutrients, one of the most important inputs of sustainable agriculture, and to introduce technological innovations to Turkish agriculture. The center will prioritise the development of new products that will contribute to agricultural productivity. In addition, studies will be carried out to improve the existing products and production processes.
Being the largest company in the fertiliser industry in Turkey in terms of production capacity and market share, Toros Agri aims to meet all kinds of plant nutrients needs of the farmer from a single source by offering water-soluble special fertilisers, organomineral fertilisers, and conventional fertilisers. With the development studies to be carried out at the R&D Center, it is aimed to enrich the product portfolio of Toros with new products.
Studies will also be carried out at the R&D Center to develop special fertiliser types and produce products that are not manufactured locally. Increasing the physical and chemical efficiency and endurance and waiting times of the existing products, improving the production processes, optimisation, saving energy in production, and reducing environmental impacts are among the goals of the new R&D Center, where a team of 30 people work.
