As the first R&D Center operating in the field of plant nutrition in Turkey, Toros Agri R&D Center continues its activities in areas such as new product development, sustainable agriculture, and waste utilization in line with current scientific and technological developments and shares the output of its work with the scientific world at academic events.

Toros Agri R&D Center Chief Ahmet Ozan Gezerman presented a paper titled, “In Parallel With the Increasing World Population, Developments in the Agricultural Industry and Minimization of the Problems Arising as a Result of Different Purposes” at the Petrochemical Sciences conference held online on October 26-27, 2020.

Toros Agri R&D Center participated in the 5th Eurasia Waste Management Symposium, held online October 26-28, with two oral presentations. Developments in the Waste Recycling and Applications in the Fertilizer Production Process project carried out with Ankara University were shared with the academic world through these papers. TÜBİTAK’s 2244 Industry Ph.D. Program aims to transform a phosphoric acid production process waste, phosphogypsum (PG), into value-added products by taking the sustainability principle into account.

While the paper titled “Evaluation of Phosphogypsum as a Secondary Resource: Effect of Commercial Acid Treatment on Purification Efficiency” was shared by R&D Specialist Cemre Avşar, project employee and TÜBİTAK scholar Didem Bay successfully presented the paper titled “A Sustainable Approach for Alternative Raw Material Resources: Re-Use of Phosphogypsum”.
