Toros Agri R&D Center cooperates with various universities, institutes, non-governmental organisations, industry, and SMEs in international research and innovation projects supported by TÜBİTAK and the European Union.
Since 2019, eight different international project proposals have been sent in response to the calls of ERA-MIN, ERA-NET, Belmont Forum, SEA-EU JFS, Horizon 2020, and Horizon Europe. As part of the international consortium, cooperation has been made with a total of 24 countries and 51 different institutions so far for the project proposal applications.
The project, carried out by the SAM Consortium which is submitted under the coordination of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science in response to the invitation of BELMONT Forum, has qualified for international funding. The project is carried by 11 institutions from six different countries including the USA, Austria, Brazil, Morocco, South Africa, and Turkey, which are members of the consortium. Toros Agri’s R&D Center carries out the project in cooperation with the Corporate Sustainability Governance Directorate and Technical Marketing Departments.
The “Roads to Sustainability—Call for Transdisciplinary Research,” was created under the umbrella of the Belmont Forum with the aim of synthesizing climate, environment, and health research areas. Its aim is to examine sustainable development goals in a holistic way and to support innovative projects for their implementation. In line with sustainable development goals, the Sustainable Agriculture Matrix Consortium, which quantifies sustainable agriculture across a range of social dimensions such as economic, technological, environmental, climatic, and sociological, has been developed with the goal of supporting interdisciplinary joint projects.
