To develop sustainable projects that care about human health and focus on the environment at the Toros Tarım R&D Center; To take innovative steps towards modernizing agricultural practices and protecting agricultural lands in Turkey and in the world; Collaborations with universities are made in order to support national and international projects that serve similar goals with company knowledge and experience, and to increase Turkey’s contribution to the world literature with its scientific publications. In addition, within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2244 projects and TÜBİTAK, TAGEM supported project calls in order to train qualified human resources with doctorate degrees needed in the industry within the scope of 2023 targets of our country, to encourage the employment of researchers with doctoral degrees in the industry, and to develop research infrastructure-industry cooperation. Projects with high added value are carried out with universities.
Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1004 Center of Excellence Support Program, Toros Tarım R&D Center’s S-ATP project application for the development of sustainable agricultural technologies against climate change has been accepted. The 1004 Program aims to create high-tech platforms where the products/technologies produced in cooperation of higher education institutions’ research infrastructures with private sector R&D/design centers and public R&D units to the private sector. The program offers a maximum support period of 48 months. The accepted S-ATP project aims to increase cooperation between pioneering research infrastructures focused on the Green Deal and sustainable climate actions. The project aims to raise qualified human resources by providing a collaborative environment, use common infrastructures, and obtain an academic output with high added value.
Recognizing the significance of a strong R&D structure and high-tech investments for the fertilizer industry, Toros Tarım maintains its ongoing infrastructure projects with unwavering momentum. Following the completion of the R&D Greenhouse investment in 2020, Toros Tarım continues to conduct evidence-based trials. The R&D Center is currently engaged in 11 ongoing projects, of which 7 have received funding and support.
Toros Tarım R&D Center carries out project applications and collaborations with many different institutions, companies, and universities, participates in many international project proposals, and takes an active role in projects within the scope of Eramin 2, Horizon 2020, FOSC, Era-Net Cofund, SEA-EU JFS, Horizon Europe and Belmont Forum, the world’s largest civil research program established within the European Union to support R&D and innovation. The SAM Consortium, which includes Toros Tarım R&D Center among its members, has successfully secured international funding, allowing ongoing collaborations with 11 different institutions from 6 countries to continue.
Toros Tarım R&D Center also contributes to the plant nutrition and agriculture sector with numerous international academic publications.
